Amsterdam, Netherlands 2015.
This image is part of a series of photos created for magazine Residence Netherlands, later published at Elle Decor France. The editorial featured 5 Dutch floral designers invited to create a bouquet with their favorite flora. The task was clear: let the old Dutch master paintings inspire them. So Renata Chede did the same, photographed those bouquets inspired on the still lives painted by Dutch masters.
What first strikes me is the Dutch master aesthetic, which was part of the series commission, but then I start to focus on the details; the rich colours within the petals, the contrasting textures and then my gaze starts wandering towards the flowers at the back of the bouquet.
The purchase of this photo includes a signed and numbered physical fine art print. Giclée printed with 12 color archival pigments on Hahnemühle fine art paper. To add a custom handmade wooden frame. Click here.
Framing & Hanging Tips
It best suits a modern and minimal space with a greyscale colour palette to contrast the style that inspired the series and to keep it light.
